The idea stemmed from these lovely things I found a few months ago. They were a gift to two special people.
The man has hemochromatosis, so he made a joke that the red one HAD to be him.

Oh my gosh, my first DD! I cannot even believe it! I don't deserve such an amazing honor
Thank you so much to ^Astralseed for giving it, and ~smallsmiles for recommending~
Umm, maybe I might owe an explanation for this piece? It's up to anyone's interpretation, of course.
It's based around the true story of a woman who found the man she truly loved. But both of them found each other near the age of 60. She had been searching for years, and had already made a family of her own adopted daughters. And the man had been through two divorces.
She was worn down and exhausted.
He was breaking down.
In the past few months, he recently suffered a heart attack and two types of cancer, and surgery. He lived with hemochromatosis for most of his life as well as severe sleep apnea.
They sought comfort in each other, and stayed to hold each other up and support one another. But he was also a traveler. They were only together for short periods of time. She was so afraid of losing him, and was aware of the limited time they had to share.
She often spoke about how she was never closer and further from one person at the same time.
She said he was slipping from her fingers.
